Robin Lee Hayes was born June 25, 1962, in Dexter, Missouri, daughter of Robert Lee and Evelyn (Jordan) McDowell. She departed this life January 25, 2016, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of 53 years and 7 months.
Robin will be missed by all who knew and truly loved her. She was employed by Campbell Parts Supply in Campbell, Missouri. Robin loved deer hunting, fishing, photography and cooking. She was of the Christian faith.
Robin is survived by her husband and love of her life, Guy Shoemate of the home in Malden, Missouri; one daughter, Megan Hayes Smith of Milan, Tennessee; a son, Matthew Lee Coleman of Malden, Missouri; one step-daughter, Johnna Shoemate of Malden, Missouri; six amazing grandchildren, Eason, Eli, Jett, Elle and Lucy, of Milan, Tennessee, and Braylyn of Marble Hill, Missouri; five siblings, Orville Payne of Bloomfield, Missouri, Randy Payne of Chaffee, Missouri, Tim Payne of Sikeston, Missouri, Loretta Holland of Montoursville, Pennsylvania, Alethea Sparkman of Sikeston, Missouri; three very spoiled dogs, Toby, Timmy and Maggie; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by the parents who raised her, Aunt Lucille Virginia and Uncle James Earl Alexander; one sister, Beverly Payne; and a brother, Ray Payne.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 29, 2016, 1:00 PM at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas, with officiating. Interment will be in the Elizabeth Cemetery in Elizabeth, Arkansas, with arrangements entrusted to Barker Funeral Home of Salem. Family will receive friends Friday, January 29, from 12 Noon until time of service at the funeral home. The family is hosting a Memorial Celebration of Life service and Family meal on Saturday, January 30, 2016, 11:00 AM, at DCM Life Church, 951 S. Kingshighway, Sikeston, Missouri, (at the corner of S. Main St. and Stallion Drive across from Lowes). Please come celebrate with us. Robin gave in death as she did in life as an organ donor.
