Ramona (McCullough) Zeigler was born November 13, 1929, in Morriston, Arkansas, the daughter of Joseph "Bob" Robert and Audrey Novella (Langston) McCullough. She departed this life Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Arkansas, at the age of 85 years, 11 months and 15 days.
Ramona was united in marriage February 3, 1951, to Rayworth Bentley Zeigler at Yellville, Arkansas. She was employed with the US Postal Service for over 30 years. Ramona was a member of the Salem Church of Christ. She enjoyed cooking and reading, and was an avid quilter. Ramona was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, and treasured mostly time spent with her grandsons and great grandson Keaton.
She is survived by one son, Kelly Zeigler (Yvonne) of Salem, Arkansas; two grandsons, Trent Zeigler and Tate Zeigler, both of Salem, Arkansas; great grandson, Keaton Layne Zeigler of Salem, Arkansas; a sister, Glenda Plumlee (Larry) of Frenchtown, Arkansas; two brothers, Dwane McCullough (Merlina) of Salem, Arkansas, and Charles McCullough (Anita) of Thayer, Missouri; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 30, 2015, 10:00 AM in the Barker Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Yates officiating. Interment will be in the Salem Cemetery in Salem, Arkansas, with arrangements entrusted to Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas. Family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until service time Friday, October 30, 2015, at the funeral home. Memorials preferred to Paragould Children's Home. Pallbearers are Steve Moody, Roger Bryant, Cody Curtis, Ken Schaufler, Mike Innis and Donnie Lance.
