John E. Tucker

John E. Tucker was born in Agnos, Arkansas, November 12, 1938, the son of Fred and Bunice (Kemper) Tucker. He departed this life Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Arkansas, at the age of 76 years, 7 months and 12 days. John was united in marriage to Hazel Evans on October 17, 1959, in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas. He was a former Fulton County Justice of the Peace. John loved basketball, was a people person and an avid talker. He was a retired self employed dairy farmer and will be remembered as a devoted husband, dad, and gramps. John is survived by his wife Hazel of Salem, Arkansas; one daughter, Vickie Bishop and husband Wayne of Salem, Arkansas; two grandchildren, C.J. Bishop and wife Lucinda of Salem, Arkansas, and Tesa Nelson and husband Robert of Camp, Arkansas; three great grandchildren, Whitt and Bryce Bishop and Reece Nelson; a sister Helen Blackwell of North Little Rock, Arkansas; sister-in-law Sue Hutson of Salem, Arkansas; his beloved cat Thumper; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister Ruth Copeland and brother-in-law Jim Hutson. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 26, 2015, 10:00 AM at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas, with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Interment will be in the Salem Cemetery in Salem, Arkansas, with services entrusted to Barker Funeral Home of Salem. Memorials preferred to Salem Cemetery Association and may be left at the funeral home. Pallbearers are C. J. Bishop, Jim Mills, Wayne Bishop, Harrel Estes, Robert Nelson and Randy Zeigler. Honorary pallbearers are Morris Hall, Kim Hall, Danny White, Cavin Hall, Frank Rowlett, Fred Whitman and Buddy Nelson.
