Carolyn Kay Barton was born in West Plains, Missouri, on June 20, 1954, daughter of Woodrow Wilson and Willie Ruth (Hutson) Haslett. She departed this life Monday, March 30, 2015, in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 60 years, 9 months and 10 days.
Carolyn was united in marriage to Ralph Lavern Barton on July 1, 1972, at Moko, Arkansas. She was like a second mom to her children's friends as they were growing up. Carolyn greatly enjoyed old tv shows, NASCAR, cooking and scrapbooking. She loved family get-togethers, and especially time spent with her grandchildren. Carolyn was a certified pharmacy tech and of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph of Salem, Arkansas; daughter, Christina Green and husband, Jerry of Conway, Arkansas; son, Allen Barton and wife, Kristi of Conway, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Makayla and Mason Green, and Conley and Greyson Barton; one brother, Jerry Haslett (Ann) of Lawson, Missouri; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Billy Dean and Robert Dale.
Funeral services will be held at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas, Saturday, April 4, 2015, 11:00 AM with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Interment will follow in the Stateline Cemetery in Moko, Arkansas, with arrangements entrusted to Barker Funeral Home of Salem. Family will receive friends Saturday, April 4, from 9 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Memorials preferred to Stateline Cemetery.
