Robert Wayne Hulen was born in Centralia, Missouri, on July 5, 1931, son of Mason Enoch and Jenny Campbell (Sappington) Hulen. He departed this life on March 7, 2015, in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 83 years, 8 months and 2 days.
Robert was united in marriage to Sandra Tipton in St. Charles, Missouri, on July 1, 1967. He was a member of Promise Keepers, The Church of Mountain Home, the Gideons and cofounder of The Mission of Hope. Robert served his Country with the US Air Force and was a disabled veteran. He worked many years as a maintenance supervisor for Ozark Airlines and will be remembered as a loving husband, dad, and grandpa who will be greatly missed.
Robert is survived by his wife, Sandra Hulen of the home in Mountain Home, Arkansas; three daughters, Lynn Ellen Schieni (George) of Salisbury, Missouri, Jennifer Marie Alleavitch of Mountain Home, Arkansas, and Cinda Suzanne Krieg (Lowell) of St. Charles, Missouri; three sons, Gregory Keith Hulen of Weatherford, Texas, David Mark Smith (Anne) of St. Peters, Missouri, and Daniel Rex Hulen (Khristy) of San Marcos, California; one brother, C.F. Hulen (Evelyn) of Mexico, Missouri; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by three sons, Steve Wayne Hulen, Mark Edward Lawhead and Steven Allen Lawhead; his parents, Mason Enoch and Jenny Campbell Hulen; two sisters, Ruth and Marion; and three brothers, Carl, Stanley and Ralph.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 21, 2015, 2:00 PM at The Church of Mountain Home in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Arrangements entrusted to Barker Funeral Home of Salem. Memorials preferred to The Mission of Hope, 3968 US 62, Hardy, AR 72542.
