Eugene Clem was born on November 12, 1931, in Prairie, Arkansas, to Orpha Alphas and Clatie Ann (Andrews) Clem. He departed this life Saturday, November 8, 2014, at Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Arkansas at the age of 82 years, 11 months and 27 days.
Eugene was united in marriage to Virginia Faye Ellis on September 8, 1990, in Visalia, California. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator in agriculture. He was a member of the Full Gospel Church in Dinuba, California.
Eugene is survived by wife, Virginia Clem of Viola, Arkansas; two sons, David Clem of Oregon and Ronald Clem of Bakersfield, California; two step sons, David Fletcher of Salem, Arkansas and Terry Fletcher of Texas; two daughters, Pamela Clem of Visalia, California and Kimberly Stepp of Lincoln, Nebraska; step daughter, Deborah Hendrix of Viola, Arkansas; two brothers, Howard Clem of Orosi, California and James Clem of Kingsford, California; four sisters, Neva Helt of Woodlake, California, Shirley Small of Rogers, Arkansas, Virginia Clem of Singer, California, and Carolyn Frisen of Fresno, California; eight grandchildren; nine step grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; ten step great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Hazel; his parents; one brother, Junior; two sisters, Darlene and Corrine; and one step daughter, Melinda.
Funeral services will be Monday, November 10, 2014, 11:00 AM at Barker Funeral Home with Rev. Curtis Tackitt officiating. Visitation will be 9:00 AM until service time. Interment will be in the Flint Springs Cemetery in Viola, Arkansas, with services entrusted to Barker Funeral Home of Salem.
