Larry W. "Doc" Turner

Larry William "Doc" Turner was born in Wheeling, Arkansas, on March 15, 1946, son of Troy Lee and Hazel Elizabeth (Moss) Turner. He departed this life Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at Southfork River Therapy and Living Center in Salem, Arkansas, at the age of 68 years, 6 months and 2 days. Doc was a certified public accountant and worked for many years in Dallas, Texas, with Holiday Inn. He was a member of Salem First Baptist Church. Doc is survived by a brother, Gaylon Turner of Salem, Arkansas; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Hazel Turner. Funeral services will be held at Salem First Baptist Church in Salem, Arkansas, at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 18, 2014, with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Interment will follow in Harmony Cemetery at Wheeling, Arkansas, with services entrusted to Barker Funeral Home of Salem. Pallbearers are Bill Hall, Larry Humphries, Mike Moore, Mickey Cochran, George Walling, Max Woods, Harold Hardin, Jack Walling, Jim Walling, Darrell Stuart, C.K. LaFevers and Buster Smith. Memorials preferred to Salem First Baptist Church.
