Douglas Henry Foster was born in Joliet, Illinois, on March 5, 1988, son of Rayburn and Linda (Gentry) Foster. He departed this life on August 8, 2014, at Salem, Arkansas, at the age of 26 years, 5 months and 3 days.
Douglas spent his working years as a Specialist in the US Army during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was a loving husband, father, son and brother. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Foster of West Plains, Missouri; two sons, Jeremiah and Jordan Foster of West Plains, Missouri; parents, Rayburn and Linda Foster of Salem, Arkansas; two brothers, Rayburn Foster, Jr.(Andrea) of Naperville, Illinois, and Andrew Martino (fiancée Gina Schiavo) of Salem, Arkansas; grandparents, R.D. and Nancy Gentry of Thousand Palms, California; many loving nieces, nephews and he was a nephew of Bob G., Paul F., Chuck F., Jennifer B., April G. and Darin G. He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth S. Foster, Sr; maternal grandparents, Raymond and Joyce Gastel; and paternal grandparents, Henry and Lucy Foster.
Memorial services will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday, August 11, 2014, at Genesis Church in West Plains, Missouri, with Pastor Jeff Smith officiating. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project. The arrangements under direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas.
