Lester Howard Youngblood Jr was born in Saddle Mountain, Oklahoma, on March 19, 1926, son of Ally Estell (McGuire) Youngblood and Lester Howard Youngblood Sr. He departed this life Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Arkansas, at the age of 88 years, 4 months and 7 days.
Mr. Youngblood was united in marriage to Nadine Galbreath in San Antonio, Texas, on December 22, 1947. He began his career in 1946 as a roughneck in the oil fields of Texas and finished as an offshore drilling consultant.
Mr. Youngblood is survived by a daughter, Wanda Crass and husband Bob of Rogers, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Lynn Maguffee and husband Marvin of Salem, Arkansas, Michael Allen Jr of Salem, Arkansas, Frank Allen and wife Stephanie of Rogers, Arkansas, Ronnie Brown and wife Starla of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Chris Youngblood of Salem, Arkansas; five great grandchildren, Shay, Emily and Brad Brown, Savannah and Olivia Allen; sister, Judy Hollis and husband Ray of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife; two daughters, Connie Zinc and Brenda Ingram; one sister and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas, at 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 29, 2014, with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Interment will be in the Camp Cemetery in Camp, Arkansas, with services entrusted to Barker Funeral Home of Salem. Pallbearers are Frank Allen, Marvin Maguffee, Bob Crass, Ronnie Brown, Rod Sutherland and Ray Hollis II. Honorary pallbearers are Trey Crass and Michael Allen Sr.
