Barbara Ann Collins was born in Monterey, California, on December 19, 1946, daughter of Robert Daniel and Rosemary (Earls) Rogers. She departed this life Monday, March 17, 2014, at Fulton County Hosptal in Salem, Arkansas, at the age of 67 years, 2 months and 26 days.
Barbara was a cook at Fulton County Hospital for many years and a member of Thayer Freewill Baptist Church in Thayer, Missouri.
She is survived by two daughters, Beverly Clark and husband Ray of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, and Gina Ray and husband Samuel of Ash Flat, Arkansas; one son Will Collins of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Brent, Brandi, Dalton, Ray Jr and Ashlynn; two great granddaughters, Willow and Trinity; one sister Betty Thompson and husband Freddie of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; two brothers, Bob Rogers and wife Janice of West Plains, Missouri, and Kenneth Rogers and wife Diana of Enis, Texas; many other relatives and friends. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; husband Billie Collins and one grandson C.J. Collins.
Funeral services will be held at Doty Family Funeral Home in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 20, 2014, with Bro. Alan Cartwright officiating. Family will receive friends Wednesday, March 19, 2014, from 5-7 PM at Doty Family Funeral Home in Horseshoe Bend with services entrusted to Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas. Interment will be in the Babe Collins Cemetery near Mammoth Spring, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Robert Clark, Jackie Lancaster, Jordan Layne, Cecil Clark, Michael Thompson, Daniel Smithee, J.C. Smithee and Dwyane Waits.
