Donald Ray Myers was born in Yeddo, Indiana, on March 20, 1937, son of Robert Marion and Dora Dean (Cassel) Myers. He departed this life on Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House in Mountain Home, Arkansas, at the age of 76 years, 7 months and 24 days.
Donald was united in marriage to Lavena Kaye Ball on February 12, 1960, at Portland, Oregon. He was a transportation superintendent with a bus company for many years and attended Evening Shade Baptist Church. Donald deeply loved playing music and singing.
He is survived by his wife Lavena of the home in Cherokee Village, Arkansas; two daughters, DeeAnn Capener of Sandy, Utah, and Dori Ice of Reader, West Virginia; many grandchildren and great grandchildren;
four brothers, Thomas Myers of Portland, Oregon, Joseph Dobbels of Phoenix, Arizona, Edward Dobbels of Spokane, Washington, and Perry Myers of Omaha, Nebraska. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Debra, and one son Darrin. Arrangements entrused to Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas.
