Shannon Leigh Farris was born in Pontiac, Michigan, on January 28, 1953, daughter of James Warren and Eleanor Ruth (Black) Walls. She departed this life on Monday, October 28, 2013, at UAMS, in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 60 years and 9 months.
Shannon was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Shannon is survived by two daughters, Tracy Lancaster and husband Scott of Viola, Arkansas, and Heather Farris of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; one son Jim Farris and wife Wendi of Mount Pleasant, Arkansas;
nine grandchildren, Nicole York and husband Trapper of Sturkie, Arkansas, Whitney Cochran and husband Brennan of Salem, Arkansas, Layke Ellison of Viola, Arkansas, Brody Farris of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, Taylor Farris of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, Madison Dawn Farris of Mount Pleasant, Arkansas, Austin Atkin of Mount Pleasant, Arkansas, Amber Atkin of Mount Pleasant, Arkansas,and Livee Kay Farris of Mount Pleasant, Arkansas; four great-grandchildren, Brant Cochran, Preslee Cochran, Ayza Cochran and Huntlee York; one brother Douglas Walls and wife Carol Ann of Spring Hill, Florida; extended family, Greg Farris and wife Brenda, Randy Farris and wife Kim, Kathy Read and husband Tom; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Linda Walls.
A memorial service will be held at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas, at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 31, 2013, with Bro. Berlin Walker officiating. Services under direction of Barker Funeral Home.
