Cecil Harlin Collins was born in Harrisburg, Arkansas on March 8, 1938, the son of Richard Elisha and Claudie May (Baker) Collins. He departed this life on March 15, 2013 at the Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Arkansas, at the age of 75 years and 7 days.
Cecil spent his working years in Water Maintenance for the State of Washington Water Department, served his country in the United States Navy, and was of the Protestant faith.
He is survived by one son, Richard Collins of San Diego, California; two daughters, Tammy Collins of Wenatchee, Washington and Joyce Collins of Wenatchee, Washington; five brothers, James Collins of Viola, Arkansas, Euin Collins of Gainesville, Missouri, John Collins of Bexar, Arkansas, Willie Collins of Gainesville, Missouri, and Larry Collins of Jordan, Arkansas; three sisters, Margaret Long of West Plains, Missouri, Ida May Kramer of Florence, Alabama, and Marie Ricciardi of Yuba, California; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Jackie Collins and Marvin Collins, and one sister, Sue Collins.
Graveside services will be held Monday, March 18, 2013, 2:00 PM, Hand Cemetery in Jordan, Arkansas with Rev. Monte Neal officiating under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas.
There will be no visitation.
