Craig Patrick Smith

Craig Patrick Smith, age 41, died Saturday afternoon, February 23, 2013, in Crownpoint Health & Rehab Center, Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas. He was born in Inglewood California, April 9, 1971, to Larry Lloyd Smith and Mary Colleen (Meaney) Smith. Craig grew up in southern California before moving to Colorado, Nebraska and later Springfield, Missouri. He was transferred to the Crownpoint Health & Rehab Center in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, earlier this week in order to spend his final days surrounded by family. Craig was a great lover of animals and volunteered at the Omaha Zoo while living in Nebraska. He enjoyed making others laugh and spending time with his loved ones and his 6 cats, which he considered "his babies". Craig is survived by his father, Larry Lloyd Smith and wife Lois of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; his mother, Mary Colleen (Meaney) Smith of Mason City, Iowa; his sisters, Dawn Fedor and husband Ron of Wiseman, Arkansas, Colleen Carpenter and husband Tim of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, and Wendy Farrington and husband Steve of Mason City, Iowa; his grandmother, Cecile Miller of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; his grandfather, Lloyd Smith of Culver City, California; and nephews, Cody and Matthew Workman of Wiseman, Arkansas.
