Barbara Jean Ninemire, 78, of Salem, Arkansas, was born on July 15, 1934, in Morriston, Arkansas, daughter of George Samuel and Bertha Belle (Wells) Coggins. She departed this life on Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at Select Specialty Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
Barbara was united in marriage to Billy Wayne Ninemire on May 30, 1953, in Salem, Arkansas. She worked as a secretary for the Fulton County Judge's Office and was a member of the Salem Church of Christ.
Barbara is survived by a son, Marty Ninemire and wife Venita of Salem, Arkansas; a daughter, Julie Dockins and husband Joe of Salem, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Brooke, Billy and Brody Ninemire and Olivia Dockins; a brother, Truman Coggin of Granite City, Illinois; a sister, Janice Cantrell of Marion, Indiana; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two brothers, Sanford and Winford Coggin and three sisters, Erma Lynch, Lucille Bell and Venetta Humphrey.
Funeral Service will be held at Salem Church of Christ in Salem, Arkansas, on Thursday, January 31, 2013, 2:00 PM, with Bro. David Gibson, Bro. Mike Yates and Bro. John Hodges officiating. Interment will be in the Salem Cemetery under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas. Visitation will be Thursday, 12:00-2:00 PM, at the church. Pallbearers will be Richard Frazier, Charles Willett, Darrell Zimmer, Bruce Humphrey, Gale Kersey and N.J. Benton.
Memorials preferred to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Salem Church of Christ, Relay for Life or Paragould Children's Home.
