Margaret Louise Boatwright, 80, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, was born on July 28, 1932, in Louden County, Virginia, daughter of George Raymond and Bartolia Louise (Beech) Potts. She departed this life on January 12, 2013, at Community Medical Center of Izard County in Calico Rock, Arkansas.
Margaret was united in marriage to Deedie Andrew Boatwright on May 26, 1951, in Doubs, Maryland.
Margaret was a homemaker, until the mid - 1970's, when she became store manager for Fredericks of Hollywood where she worked until retirement in 1990, when Dee and her moved to Virginia and resided until moving to Horseshoe Bend in 2006. She was a member of Evangelical & Reformed Church in Adamstown, Maryland, and a member of Order of the Eastern Star.
Margaret is survived by her husband, Dee Andrew Boatwright of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, two sons, Gerald Boatwright and wife Diane of San Jose, California, and Robert Boatwright of Ayer, Massachusetts; two daughters, Dianna James and husband Paul of Shelby, Michigan, and Carol Anderson and husband Kenny of Franklin, Arkansas; one brother, George Potts, Jr. of New York; two sisters, Patricia Benoit of Winchester, Virginia, and Lou Ann Keyser of Jefferson, Maryland; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at Barker Horseshoe Bend Memorial Chapel in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, Thursday, January 17, 2013, 1:00 PM, with Bro. Author Barber officiating. Interment will be in the Violet Hill Cemetery in Violet Hill, Arkansas, under the direction of Barker Horseshoe Bend Memorial Chapel. Pallbearers will be Kenny Anderson, Paul James, Joshua James, Andrew James, Chris Wilkes and Rocky Smith. Honorary pallbearer will be Dan McGrew. Visitation will be January 16, 6-8 PM, at the funeral home.
