Ruth Spicer, 85, of Salem, Arkansas, formerly of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, was born on April 13, 1927, in Memphis, Tennessee, daughter of Howard and Gertrude (Hollis) Laurimore. She departed this life on Wednesday, January 2, 2012, at Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Arkansas.
Ruth was united in marriage to Alfred Spicer in Roswell, New Mexico. She spent her working years as a homemaker and she was of the Baptist faith.
Ruth is survived by two sons, Jerry Spicer and wife Donna of Glencoe, Arkansas, and Robert Spicer of Farmington, New Mexico; three daughters, Karen Smith of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, Sharon Baysinger and husband Bill of Franklin, Arkansas, and Barbara Ward and husband Bryce of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, son Alfred William Spicer, parents and brother Howard Laurimore.
