Gene Albert Argentine was born on October 17, 1931, in Hammond, Indiana, son of Frank and Myrtle (Orsburn) Argentine. He departed this life on December 11, 2012, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 81 years, 1 month and 24 days.
Gene was united in marriage to Doris Walker in Hammond, Indiana, and to this union two sons were born. He was later united in marriage to Donna Gourley in Hammond, Indiana. Gene worked as an automobile salesman and served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He was a christian and a member of the VFW in Indiana. Gene was an avid sportsman and loved his family and friends.
He leaves to mourn his passing: two sons, Mark Argentine and wife Carla of Hardinville, Missouri, and Perry Argentine and dauhter-in-law, Melissa Conner of Salem, Arkansas; one step-daughter, Susie Miller and husband Dennis of Denver, Colorado; two brothers, Clarence Argentine of Debary, Florida, and Leonard Argentine and wife Dixie of Florida; two sisters, Lola Roope of Sanford, Florida, and Betty Tuskan of Sheriville, Indiana : nine grandchildren, Mark Argentine, Jr., Heather Lester, P. J. Argentine, Brandi Miller, Katelynn and Laci Lowery, Melanie, Jessica and Jennifer Conner; four great-granchildren, Justin, Brian and Kevin Lester and Kayla Miller; special friends, Bro. Douglas Martin and wife Myrtle, and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by both his wives, parents, two brothers, Ronnie Argentine and Frank Argentine, Jr. and two sisters, Alice Argentine and Dorothy Lederman.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2012,12:00 PM, at Apostolic Jesus Christ Church in Salem, Arkansas, with Bro. Douglas Martin officiating.
