Paul Kenneth Armistead, Jr., 78, of Cherokee Village, AR, was born on May 21, 1934, in Phenix City, AL, son of Paul Kenneth and Vivian (Vickery) Armistead. He passed away on December 9, 2012, at Fulton County Hospital in Salem, AR.
Paul was united in marriage to Nell Waugh on July 1, 1955, in Memphis, TN. He worked as an engineer for Union Pacific Railroad, as a real estate broker and for the Memphis Police Department. He graduated from Southside High School and served in the U. S. Army Reserves.
He is survived by four daughters, Paula Allen (Grady) of Garfield, AR, Gay Delugach (Steve) of Hernando, MS, Carol Cook, of Olive Branch, MS and Wendy Weber (Jason) of Crane Hill, AL; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brother, Bobby Armistead (Kay) of Byhalia, MS; and many other relatives and friends.
Preceded by his wife, parents, and son-in-law John G. Cook Sr.
A memorial service will be held at Graceview Presbyterian Church in Southaven, Mississippi, at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 13, 2012, with Dr. John Tucker officiating.
