Glen Dwayne Smith, was born February 13, 1958 in Alton, Missouri, son of Doyle Loranza and Dorothy Frances (Huggins) Smith. He departed this life on November 6, 2012 in Salem, Arkansas, at the age of 54 years, 8 months and 24 days.
He was united in marriage to Tonya Gail Bassham on August 30, 1986, in Thayer, Missouri. He was an over the road truck driver hauling many types of freight and was of the Pentecostal faith.
He is survived by his wife Tonya Smith of the home in Salem, Arkansas; three daughters, Brittany Avery and husband Justin of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Teria Long and husband Andrew of Paducah, Kentucky, Sonya Kincannon and husband Chris of Paducah, Kentucky; five grandchildren Brody, Tristan, Gavin, Gracie and Dalton; four brothers, Lonnie Smith and wife Ramona of Alton, Missouri; Michael Smith, of Alton, Missouri; Dennis Smith and wife Felecia of Alton, Missouri and Ronnie Smith, of Fremont, Missouri; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Laverne Johnson.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 11, 2012, at 10:00 AM in the Salem First Baptist Church with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Interment will be in the Cave Springs Cemetery in Alton, Missouri. Pallbearers will be Richard Frazier, Marcus Herring, Bill Hall, Dale Ivey, Bryan Rucker, Jamie Smith and David Bassham.
