Frances Louise Burks, 83, of Salem, Arkansas was born July 29, 1929 in McCrory, Arkansas, daughter of John Lewis and Alma Jane (Cook) Glover. She died on November 5, 2012 in Salem, Arkansas.
Frances was united in marriage to Calvin "Lefty" Burks on May 29, 1951, in McCrory, Arkansas. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and spent her working years as a secretary for White Rogers, and was a member of the Salem Church of Christ.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Kerr and husband Dan of Mesa, Arizona, and Janell Curtis and husband David of Salem, Arkansas; three grandchildren Cody Curtis, T.J. Kerr and Callen Curtis; one great grandson Cade Curtis; three sisters, Lucy Luna, of Snowflake, Arizona; Ruth Davis, of Harrison, Arkansas, and Ruby McCain, of Cordova, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and four brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 10, 2012 in Barker Funeral Home Chapel in Salem, Arkansas, with Bro. Mike Yates officiating. Burial will be Saturday at 3:00 PM at Woodman Cemetery in McCrory, Arkansas, under the direction of Barker Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday 9 AM until service time. Pallbearers will be Sam Phillips, Tommy Glover, Bobby Glover, Larry Glover, Kirk Glover and Terry Glover.
Memorials preferred to Salem Church of Christ.
