Grace Waits Mooney

Grace Waits Mooney, 92, formerly of Salem, Arkansas, was born in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas on March 23, 1920, the daughter of the late Flora Lee (Hutchison) and Herbert Alpha Waits. She departed this life October 2, 2012, in Batesville, Arkansas. She was united in marriage to Lonie Leo Mooney on November 21, 1936 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was a member of the Church of Christ, a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister and friend. Grace is survived by two daughters, Betty Lou Arnold and husband Fred of Batesville, Arkansas, and Oleta Landers and husband James Paul of Cave City, Arkansas; granddaughter Lanette Treadway of Cave City, Arkansas, grandson Brian Arnold and wife Teri of Dallas, Texas; great granddaughter Misty Schmitt, great grandson Derek Treadway; three great-great grandsons; a great-great granddaughter and one step great-great granddaughter; sister, Juanita Harrell, of Brooksfield, Florida; brother, Tony Bamber and wife, Betty of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Grace was preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Flora Waits; husband Lonie; stepfather Leo Bamber; two sisters, Pernia Gwaltney and Ardith Harrell; infant brother Billy Bamber; grandson Marty Farris; granddaughter Christy Arnold Jumper and great grandson Jason Farris. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 5, 2012, 2:00 PM, at Barker Funeral Home Chapel in Salem, Arkansas with Brother David Gibson officiating. Interment will be in the Agnos Cemetery, Agnos, Arkansas under the direction of Barker Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday, 12 Noon til service time. Pallbearers will be James Paul Landers, Derek Treadway, Brian Arnold, William "Dub" Harrell, Philip Landers and Larry Mooney.
