Robert Thomas Bryson, Sr., 72, of Salem, Arkansas, was born on July 2, 1940, in Lamasco, Kentucky, son of Roy Jackson and Clatie (Stokes) Bryson. He departed this life on July 15, 2012, at his home.
Robert was united in marriage to Theda Kay Teague on March 22, 1977, in North Little Rock, Arkansas. He spent his working years as a truck driver hauling produce. Robert was of the Pentecostal faith.
He leaves to mourn his passing: wife, Theda Bryson of Salem, Arkansas; two sons, Robert T. Bryson, Jr. of Mount Holly Springs, Pennsylvania, and Paul Bryson of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas; four daughters, Tammy Speaight of Wilmington, Ohio, Sharon Bowman of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, Kimberly Broughton of Salem, Arkansas, and Margaret Hensley of Judsonia, Arkansas; one brother, James Forrest of Friendship, Tennessee; three sisters, Dorothy Jackson of North Carolina, Sue Harmon of Dyersburg, Tennessee, and Earline Baker of Dyersburg, Tennessee; nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; and many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, Wanda and Lou Bell, and granddaughter Tamara L. Hensley.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2012, 11:00 AM, at Barker Funeral Home Chapel in Salem, Arkansas, with Bro. Timothy Potter officiating. Interment will be in the Salem Cemetery under the direction of Barker Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday morning, 10:00 AM until service time.
