Farrell Lee Durden, 68, of Ash Flat, Arkansas, was born on May 28, 1944, in Helena, Arkansas, son of Frank and Mary Audie (Gilless) Durden. He departed this life on June 7, 2012, at his home. Farrell was united in marriage to Jeanie Peacock on June 7, 1981, at Marion, Arkansas. He worked as a maintenance mechanic for Landau Uniform Company for several years. Farrell was a member of the Saddle Baptist Church in Saddle, Arkansas. He leaves to mourn his passing: wife, Jeanie Durden of Ash Flat, Arkansas; son, Billy Durden of Turrell, Arkansas; two daughters, Tammy Durden and Susan Durden; step-son, Jackie Barley of Grenada, Mississippi; step-daughter, Gorma McBride of Little Rock, Arkansas; two sisters, Bonnie Hutchinson of Mountain View, Arkansas, and Audie Smith of Tyronza, Arkansas; seven grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by son Darrell Dee Durden, an infant daughter, his parents and sister Linda Orr. A memorial service will be held at Saddle Baptist Church in Saddle, Arkansas, Saturday, June 9, 2012, 2:00 PM, with Jackie Dockins officiating. Memorials preferred to Saddle Baptist Church, 8689 Heart Road, Mammoth Spring, AR 72554. Arrangements by Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
