William Ernest Slow. 78, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, was born on January 10, 1934, in Westminster, England, son of Ernest and Dorothy Lilian (Theobold) Slow. He departed this life on May 27, 2012, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
William was a computer manager for the Institute of Technology and was a computer technician at Computers Plus and Mountain Communications and was currently employed with Arkansas Workforce Center. He served in the Royal Air Forces in England. William was an avid soccer fan with favorite team Chelsea
He leaves to mourn his passing: his partner, Barbara Wagner of Mountain Home, Arkansas; one son, Richard Slow and wife Tracy of Rushden, England; one daughter, Jackie Brewer and husband Martin of Bedford, England; two step-sons, Jon Wagner and wife Betty of Bono, Arkansas, and Alan Wagner and wife Melissa of Salem, Arkansas; two step-daughters, Lou Crow and husband Danny of Camp, Arkansas, and Linda Allen and husband Mark of Bennet, Nebraska; two brothers, Chris Slow and wife Janet of Appledor, England, and Anthony Slow and wife Susan of Shorem, England; one sister Rosemary Ives and husband Graham of London, England; eleven grandchildren, Shane, Issabelle, Scott, Taylor, Jason, James, Bailey, Megan, Brandon, Andrew and Steven; three great-grandchildren, Caiden, Hadley and Hayden; one niece, Beth and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2012, 2:00 PM, at Barker Funeral Home Chapel in Salem, Arkansas, with Bro. John Hodges officiating.
