Christine Grissom, 77, of Saddle, Arkansas, was born on February 15, 1935, in Heart, Arkansas, daughter of Truman Clarence and Oval (Hall) Benton. She departed this life on May 24, 2012, at Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Christine was united in marriage to James Travis Grissom on January 20, 1956, at Sturkie, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and a member of the Heart Church of Christ in Heart, Arkansas.
Survivors are her husband, Travis Grissom of Saddle, Arkansas; two sons, James Ray Grissom and wife Kathy of Greenbrier, Arkansas, and Roy Lee Grissom of Glencoe, Arkansas; two grandchildren, T. J. Grissom and wife Anna of Dallas, Texas, and LeAnn Williams and husband Coty of Vilonia, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Kathryn Wilkening.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2012, 2:00 PM, at Barker Funeral Home Chapel in Salem, Arkansas, with Bro. Bruce Caldwell officiating. Interment will be in the Saddle Cemetery at Saddle, Arkansas, under the direction of Barker Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be James Grissom, Roy Grissom, T. J. Grissom, Randy Zeigler, Kim Hall and Cavin Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be Kennard Gilbreath, Lyle Bishop and Robert Lee Wooldridge. Visitation will be Saturday, 1-2 PM, at the funeral home.
