James Martinus Rega

James Martinus Rega, 81, of Ash Flat, AR, was born on March 22, 1931, in Chicago, IL, son of James A. and Bernadine Martinus Rega. He departed this life on March 27, 2012, at Jonesboro, AR. James was united in marriage to Rosemary Ann Thier on June 4, 1955, in Chicago, IL. He spent his working years as a real estate broker and was a member of St. Mary of the Mount Catholic Church in Horseshoe Bend, AR. James served his country in the U. S. Army and he was a life member of the VFW and American Legion. He leaves to mourn his passing: five sons, Glen Rega of Conway, AR, Ken Rega (Louise) of Agnos, AR, Larry Rega (Barbara) of Las Vegas, NV, Dan Rega (Lisa) of Cherokee Village, AR, and Brian Rega of Jonesboro, AR; two daughters, Linda Rega of Memphis, TN, and Dina Rega of Fayetheville, AR; sister, Ida May Fleming of Chicago, IL; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, son Jeffery, parents and two sisters A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
