William Thomas Mackey, Jr.

William Thomas Mackey, Jr., 59, of Viola, Arkansas, was born on January 20, 1952, in Prairie, Missouri, son of William Thomas and Mary Genevieve (Waite) Mackey, Sr. He departed this life on January 8, 2012, at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas. William was a truck driver and served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He leaves to mourn his passing: son, William Franklin Mackey of Viola, Arkansas; daughter, Tina Maclin of Viola, Arkansas; his mother, Mary Mackey of Viola, Arkansas; three sisters, Lyla Mae Garcia of Kansas City, Missouri, Vica Comstock of Gepp, Arkansas, and Kathy Hooks of Gilmore, Texas; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father. The body was cremated. Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas, in charge of arrangements.
