Charles Wesley Windham, Sr., 62, of Salem, Arkansas, was born on July 14, 1949, in Grenada, Mississippi, son of Charles Noye and Hadja Jawauce (Parker) Windham. He departed this life on January 8, 2012, at the Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Arkansas. Charles was united in marriage to Debra Kay Allen on July 14, 1990, at Salem, Arkansas. He worked as a construction worker, heavy equipment operator and a pipeline welder. He was a member of the Advent Christian Church in Duck Hill, Mississippi, and served his country in the U. S. Army and Merchant Marines during the Vietnam War. He leaves to mourn his passing: wife, Debra Windham of Salem, Arkansas; three sons, Charles Gray Windham and wife Chelsea of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Charles Andrew Windham and wife Stephanie of Jackson, Mississippi, and Tim Doherty and wife Olive of Poulsho, Washington; three daughters, Tammy White and husband Jimmy of Jackson, Mississippi, Janell Kingston and husband Doug of Duck Hill, Mississippi, and Katie Wilson and husband Jeff of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; his mother, Jawauce Windham of Ash Flat, Arkansas; one brother, George Richard Windham of Duck Hill, Mississippi; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his son Charles Wesley Windham, Jr. and his father. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2012, 2:00 PM, at the National Funeral Home in Grenada, Mississippi, with Bro. Tim Lane officiating. Interment will be in the Red Hill Cemetery in Duck Hill, Mississippi. Visitation will be held Monday, January 9, 2012, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
