Alpheus Frank Barry, 88, of Viola, Arkansas, was born on March 1, 1923, in Sheridan Township, Michigan, son of Frank and Celestia (Loyer) Barry. He departed this life on December 8, 2011, at Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Alpheus was united in marriage to Frances May Winter on August 19, 1945, at Jackson, Michigan. He spent his working years as a television technician which was self-taught with many years of experience. He was a member of the George D. Hay Society and the Mammoth Springer’s Square Dance Club and was of the Baptist faith.
He leaves to mourn his passing: son, Phillip Barry and wife Linda of Salem, Arkansas; two daughters, Kay Knight and husband Steve of Roanoke, Virginia, and Linda Goure and husband Larry of West Plains, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Elaine Barry-Gott, Michael Barry, Melinda Knight, Christopher Knight, Amy Turner, Claudia Hicks, Shawn Goure and Robert Goure; several great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
