Donald Lee Thrasher

Donald Lee Thrasher was born on September 4, 1947, in Salem, Arkansas, son of Clovis Watson and Veda Vinetta (Lawyer) Thrasher. He departed this life on December 4, 2011, at his home, at the age of 64 years and 3 months. Donald worked as a farmer. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Donald was of the Baptist faith. He leaves to mourn his passing: mother, Veda Thrasher of Salem, Arkansas; brother, Jerry Thrasher of Viola, Arkansas; several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, nephew Robert Barker and great-nephew Conner Thrasher. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2011, 2:00 PM, at Barker Funeral Home Chapel in Salem, Arkansas, with Bro. Gary Wallace and Bro. Jerry Thrasher officiating. Interment will be in the Wiseman Cemetery at Wiseman, Arkansas, under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas. Visitation will be Wednesday, 12:00-2:00 PM, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jake Asher, Gary Washburn, Michael Thrasher, Clovis Thrasher, Joey Anderson and Vicky Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Thrasher, Ralph Lane and Les Lawyer. Memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society.
