Patricia Lee Hendrix, 77, of Viola, Arkansas, was born on December 15, 1933, in Woodward, Oklahoma, daughter of Charles Wesley and Martha Elizabeth (Decker) Clemence. She departed this life on November 29, 2011, at her home.
Patricia was united in marriage to Lester William Hendrix on June 16, 1950, at Kingman, Arizona, and to this union, nine children were born. She was a homemaker and was of the Assembly of God faith.
She leaves to mourn her passing: six sons, Lee Hendrix of Viola, Don Hendrix of Viola, Lloyd Hendrix of Viola, Floyd Hendrix of Viola, Bill Hendrix of Salem and Paul Hendrix of Viola; two daughters, Elizabeth Ellis of Viola and Trish Brown of West Plains; two brothers, Richard Clemence of Cornelius,Oregon, and Bill Clemence of Memphis, Tennessee; two sisters, Betty Williams of Tualatin, Oregon and Leila Copeland of Caldwell, Idaho; eighteen grandchildren and fifty great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one son Wesley Hendrix, three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2011, at the Viola Assembly of God Church in Viola, Arkansas, with Bro. Lee Hendrix and Bro. Allen Cartwright officiating. Interment will be in the Viola Cemetery under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Lee Hendrix, Don Hendrix, Lloyd Hendrix, Floyd Hendrix, Bill Hendrix, Paul Hendrix, Elizabeth Ellis and Trish Brown.
