Jason Wayne Rogers, 29, of Viola, Arkansas, was born on July 30, 1982, in Elk City, Oklahoma, son of Roy Gene and Rhonda Louise (Galloway) Rogers, Jr. He departed this life on November 23, 2011, at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
Jason loved hunting and fishing. He was of the Baptist faith.
Jason leaves to mourn his passing: parents, Roy and Beverly Rogers of Viola, Arkansas, and Rhonda (Galloway) Brown of Caney, Kansas; four brothers, James Webb and wife Erin of Dallas, Texas, Cody Grubbs and wife Tiffany of Kemp, Texas, Justin Burrow of Viola, Arkansas, and Mike Rogers and wife Kyla of Mountain Home, Arkansas; one sister, Amy Baker and husband Gary of Viola, Arkansas; grandfather, Roy Rogers, Sr. of Elizabeth, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Thomas Roy Rogers, grandparents Luna and Dorothy Galloway and grandmother Mabel Rogers.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2011, 2:00 PM, at Barker Funeral Home Chapel in Salem, Arkansas, with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Interment will be in the Elizabeth Cemetery at Elizabeth, Arkansas, under the direction of Barker Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be James Webb, Cody Grubbs, Mike Rogers, Justin Burrow, Gary Baker and Tony Rogers. Honorary pallbearer will be Bob Sanders. Visitation will be Saturday evening, 6-8 PM, at the funeral home.
