Donald Vender

Donald Vender, 83, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, was born on March 28, 1928 in Queens, New York, the son of Julius and Evelyn (O’Gara) Vender. He departed this life on November 23, 2011 at the Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Arkansas. Donald was united in marriage to Mary Lee Schroeder on July 20, 1956 at Brooklyn, New York. He worked as a mailman for many years, was a member of the Horseshoe Bend Honorary Police and served his country in the Navy, Army and the National Guard. Donald leaves to mourn his passing: wife, Mary Vender of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, son, Donald Vender of Tomah, Wisconsin, daughter, Christine Wilson and husband Jeff of Bailey, Colorado, 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. There are no services planned at this time. Barker Horseshoe Bend Memorial Chapel in charge of arrangements.
