Zane Richmond, 78, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, was born on July 3, 1933, son of Paul and Bertie Lee (McElmurry) Richmond. He departed this life on November 17, 2011, at Hiram Shaddox Geriatric Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Zane was united in marriage to Ella Eva Crane on May 2, 2009, at Mountain Home, Arkansas. He worked for 44 years as a crew chief/ lineman for North Arkansas Electric Cooperative. Zane loved fly fishing and playing golf. He was of the Baptist faith. He leaves to mourn his passing: wife, Ella Eva Richmond of Mountain Home; two sons, Terry Richmond and wife Angela of Viola, and Jerry Richmond and wife Jennie of Midway; step-son, Daniel Wood of Mountain Home; one brother, Tommy Richmond of Salem; two grandchildren, Sean and Kendra Richmond and four step-grandchildren, Sarah Estes (Donald), Malisha Summers (Paul), Jeremy Evans (Heidi) and Holly Wood; one great-grandson, Sage Bontrager and nine step-great-grandchildren, Corbin, Kennady and Caden Estes, Shelby, Emily and Riley Summers, Ashley and Zackary Smith and Ethan Harris. He was preceded in death by his parents and step-father Eulos Love. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2011, 2:00 PM, at Salem First Baptist Church in Salem, Arkansas, with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Interment will be in the Viola Cemetery at Viola, Arkansas, under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem. Visitation will be Saturday, 6-8 PM, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Estes, Ronnie Richmond, Paul Summers, Reggie Gleghorn, Iain Platt and Jerry Estes. Condolences may be made at barkerfuneral.com online registry. Memorials preferred to Hiram Shaddox Geriatric Center.
