Donnie Francis Stone, 91, of Salem, Arkansas, was born on February 21, 1920, in Breckenridge Township, Arkansas, daughter of Robert Charles and Kate Marie (Galloway) White. She departed this life on November 1, 2011, at Southfork River Therapy and Living Center in Salem, Arkansas.
Donnie was united in marriage to J. B. Stone in May of 1936, at Tupelo, Arkansas. She later married George Massey in November of 1963, at Tupelo, Arkansas. Donnie was a homemaker and a member of the Salem First Baptist Church.
She leaves to mourn her passing: three sons, John A. Stone and wife Claudia of Salem, Arkansas, Richard D. Stone of Newport, Arkansas, and Roger L. Stone, Sr. of Newport, Arkansas; one daughter, Lonnie Charlene Sockel and husband Mark of Taylorville, Illinois; three sisters, Allene Robertson of Illiopolis, Illinois, Marie Austin of Southaven, Mississippi, and Dolly Middlebrooks of Tupelo, Arkansas; eleven grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by both her husbands, one daughter, Edna Williams, one granddaughter, Linda Straight, her parents, four brothers, two sisters
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 4, 2011, 10:00 AM, at Salem First Baptist Church in Salem, Arkansas, with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Interment will be in the White Church Cemetery in Tupelo, Arkansas, Friday, November 4, 2011, 2:00 PM, under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas. Visitation will be Thursday, November 3, 6-8 PM, at Barker Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Roger L. Stone, Jr., Joshawa Hodges, Joe Ferguson, Braden Duke, Larry Wilderman, Jeremy Ealey, T. J. Straight and Timmy Wilderman.
