Blane Lynn Bourgeois, 54, of Salem, Arkansas, was born on April 2, 1957, in Boosier City, Louisiana, son of Travis Joseph and Nellie Irene (Kimble) Bourgeois. He departed this life on October 23, 2011, in Salem, Arkansas.
Blane worked for a brief time as a marine biologist researcher for Louisiana State University and the last several years he was a heirloom gardener, trying to save species that were non hybrid native plants. His true love was music and he served his country in the United States Coast Guard.
He leaves to mourn his passing: his parents, Travis and Nellie Bourgeois of Salem, Arkansas; one sister, Karen Bourgeois of Salem, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter Trinity Bourgeois and brother Wayne Lee Bourgeois.
A memorial service well be held on Thursday, October 27, 2011, 2:00 PM, at Barker Funeral Home Chapel in Salem, Arkansas, with Nikki and Brennan Desoto officiating.
