Margaret Dale (Brown) Sitton, 82, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, was born on July 3, 1929, in McCrory, Arkansas, the daughter of Thomas Jefferson and Cloteen (Crittenden) Brown. She departed this life on September 24, 2011, at White River Medical Center in Batesville, Arkansas.
Margaret was united in marriage to William Kinston Sitton on March 29, 1952, at McCrory, Arkansas. She worked as a retail clerk. Margaret was a member of the Horseshoe Bend United Methodist Church in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas.
She leaves to mourn her passing: one daughter, Tanna Jones of Horn Lake, Mississippi; two grandchildren, Chris Bonner and wife Karen of Horn Lake, Misssissippi, and Telena Gascon and husband Jeff of Southaven, Mississippi; one brother, T. J. Brown, Jr. and wife Patsy of McCrory, Arkansas; one sister, Lurene Vanlandingham and husband Leon of Wynne, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death her husband and parents.
Services were held on Tuesday, September 27, 2011, 11:00 AM, Horseshoe Bend United Methodist Church in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, with Sister Nancy Cameron officiating. Interment was in Memphis Memorial Park in Memphis, Tennessee, under the direction of Horseshoe Bend Memorial Chapel in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
